Improving Your Relationship with Food

Have you been diagnosed with an eating disorder, find yourself switching from one diet to another, live by food rules, constantly think about your next meal, or eat when you're stressed, emotional and/or bored? If so, you've come to the right place! Holly's lived experience with Anorexia and Binge Eating Disorder provides her with insight, empathy and first-hand knowledge of what you may be experiencing, and she'd love to support you in this journey.

Here at Hollystic Health, we're passionate about helping individuals find 'food freedom'. This means developing a positive relationship with food that doesn't leave you feeling deprived, hungry, or controlled by it.

Mental Health

Research shows that our mental health can be supported (and improved) by a nutritious diet and healthy lifestyle behaviours. Therefore, we'll work together and set goals you feel comfortable at a pace that suits you.

Note: When required, Holly will work together with other practitioners to ensure you receive the support you need to feel your best.

Women's Health

Hormonal changes and imbalances can negatively affect our metabolism, appetite, growth and development, mood, stress tolerance, sleep, and more. However, nutrition and lifestyle changes (such as exercise, sleep and stress management strategies) can support healthy hormone levels. Therefore, if you've been diagnosed with PCOS, experiencing PMS symptoms, PMDD, or are going through menopause we'd love to work with you and get you feeling like your best self!

Blood Sugar Disorders

We use the latest evidence to help you manage your specific blood sugar condition, be that Pre-Diabetes (also known as Insulin Resistance or Metabolic Syndrome) or Type 2 Diabetes.

During these sessions we'll focus largely on helping you to improve your blood sugar regulation and insulin sensitivity through dietary and lifestyle changes that can be sustained long-term.

Therapeutic Diets

A Therapeutic Diet is a meal plan that controls the intake of certain foods or nutrients. This can assist with the treatment of a medical condition, and is normally prescribed by a GP or specialist.

If you need support with managing iron-deficiency anaemia, going gluten or dairy free, supporting healthy cholesterol levels, and more, we can help you!

Weight Management

Holly adopts a 'non-diet approach' to weight management, which is a flexible, gentle way of choosing what to eat and when to eat with no calorie counting, guilt, body shaming, or restrictions. Instead, we help individuals to eat intuitively, which involves making mindful food choices and tuning into their hunger-fullness cues. Although this goes against the traditional view of achieving weight loss via dieting or energy restriction, research shows this approach is more effective for long-term weight management.
